Cambodia

After the collapse of the Funan and new kingdom emerged in Cambodia. Created by Jayavarman in ninth century it was called Angor- for the name of its capital city.

The Angor kingdom was primarily an agricultural society. It instituted an extensive system of irrigation throughout Cambodia.
