Towards the end of the Dark Ages, Homer composed the epic tales of the Illiad and Odyssey. The Iliad tells the story of an expedition of Greeks who set out to conquer the city of Troy. The Odyssey tells the story of Odysseus and his voyage home from the Trojan War.
