Trans World Airlines (TWA)

TWA was founded in October 1930 as a product of a merger of Wester Air Express TAT- Maddux and Pittsburgh Aviation Industries. TWA was controlled for many years by Howard Hughes. After two visits to bankrupcy courts TWA was absorbed by American Airlines
